MetaTrader Programming Services

MetaTrader 4/5

MetaTrader4 and MetaTrader5, also known as MT4 and MT5, are leading stand-alone trading platforms. They are very popular due to their powerful features, reliability and fast transaction speeds. MetaTrader has gone a long way to close the gap between the technology available to retail traders and professional trading firms, banks and hedge funds.
A key feature of MetaTrader is the ability to create sophisticated custom indicators and trading systems (known as EAs or Expert Advisors). These allow traders and developers to create their own trading systems, which can be automated. EAs can even be hosted on remote servers to trade automatically when your PC is switched off.

Charts

MetaTrader offers a wide variety of charting features, including multiple timeframe support, over 30 built in indicators and over 2,000 custom indicators. In addition, users can create their own technical indicators and analytical tools themselves, or by making use of MQL coding services

Built-in MetaTrader Market

MetaTrader has its own marketplace for EAs and custom indicators. These can be purchased and added to your interface in seconds. The marketplace also includes free indicators and other resources

Expert Advisors (EAs)

MetaTrader’s powerful features allows anyone with MQL programming skills to build sophisticated trading systems that can be automated, semi-automated or manually traded

Indicators

While MetaTrader includes numerous pre-installed indicators, MQL programming language allows any type of custom indicator to be developed. Indicators can be created for specific markets and situations that can’t be captured with standard indicators

You can buy trading signals from experienced traders in MetaTrader community and can even set up your platform to execute their trades automatically

Mobile Trading

Many markets are now open around the clock and traders often monitor markets while on the go. Both MetaTrader 4 and 5 are available for all mobile devices and can be used within a mobile browser too. This means traders can receive alerts, keep tabs on market developments and check in on the EAs anywhere and anytime

Browser Trading

MetaTrader can also be accessed in any browser, using major operating systems like MacOS, Windows and Linux. The browser-based version is identical to the desktop version, so no download is required

Virtual Hosting

Remote hosting is easy to set up and allows you to run your EAs when your computer is switched off or offline. You can also rent EAs with a monthly subscription. Auto trading in MT4 and MT5 allows you to trade around the clock and focus on more important tasks when required

Community

If you use MetaTrader you automatically become a part of a large global community. MetaTrader community includes highly experienced traders, analysts and system developers, and is an invaluable resource for individual traders

User Interface

MT4 and MT5 platforms are the result of decades of development that have resulted in the most user friendly and intuitive trading interfaces around. This results in an enjoyable trading experience, making it easier to become familiar with the trading environment and speeds up the learning curve

MetaTrader 4 vs MetaTrader 5

MT4 and MT5 are very similar platforms, with just a few key differences. MT5 is not actually an upgrade of MT4, but a slightly different platform designed primarily for CFD, stock and futures traders.
MT4 is a little simpler and best suited to forex trading. MT5 offers more features but takes a little longer to get used to. MT5 is also better suited to anyone trading CFDs, stocks, or futures.
The programming languages MQL4 and MQL5 are very similar with only minor differences in the way orders and positions are handled. However, if you make use of MetaTrader programming services, it is important to make sure they are experienced with the relevant version. Nordman Algorithms’ MQL programming team is highly experienced with both MQL4 and MQL5.
